LEVITY’s ESKIMO will redefine the small-satellite market

ESKIMO is a 150kg-class, 1x1x1m³ multipurpose platform accommodating up to 300l and 50kg of payload(s). 

We offer a universal and flexible platform for dedicated missions of small payloads up to the moon. The platform can also act as a kickstage, transporting small satellites to their target and offer deep space relay services at the target environment.

ESKIMO has no need for a moon-rocket. As a free-flying, electric propulsion platform it can be launched into GEO to reach the moon within a year.

Accommodating dedicated adapters and dispensers instead of a payload, ESKIMO acts as a lunar kickstage to provide lunar access for SmallSats without the need for a rare and costly rideshare on a moon-rocket AND already includes your deep-space COM relay system.

In the wake of reduced satellite volume and -mass at unprecedented performance, its flexible use cases make ESKIMO THE platform for small and nimble future missions of endless possibilities.

ESKIMO is designed to make use of future flexible small-sat launch possibilities and to start its mission in GEO.

It’s flexibility allows nimble and long-term dedicated missions for low-cost commercial and scientific missions, situational awareness, supporting- and observational missions for already established satellites in the region of GEO.

Thanks to the electric propulsion concept, also demanding LEO missions can be targeted with ESKIMO, achieving high maneuverability, frequent orbital transfers, de-orbiting from high orbits and a long mission duration even in low altitudes.

ESKIMO’s parabolic X-Band Antenna and precise 3-axis pointing allow high-fidelity earth observation missions requiring high data downstream rates.

Planning

Following the SMART-1 mission (ESA 2003), this mission will carry out a spiral transfer from the Earth to the Moon and involve one or more payloads from interested scientific institutes, organisations, universities and companies.
